The National at 125 S Clark, was purchased by Blue Star Properties in 2015 from Chicago Public Schools, a fully vacant 20 story building in Chicago’s Central Loop.
Originally constructed in 1907 by D.H. Burnham & Company, this architectural icon underwent an extensive $91+ million redevelopment to encompass 577,865 square feet of state-of-the-art creative office and retail space.
Blue Star Properties delivered a highly curated, hotel inspired amenity package, including a modernized lobby and common spaces, outdoor rooftop terrace, tenant lounge and bar, fitness center and one of the City’s first food halls Revival.
The National was redeveloped to offer a differentiated and progressive office campus environment for today’s modern tenants. In just two years, almost 500,000 square feet of new leases were signed by high growth creative, technology, architectural, and digital advertising companies.
